Surprise, surprise!

I had a wonderful surprise this year for my birthday and mother’s day. Last Monday, my door bell rang at about 11 in the morning. I didn’t want to open the door – I was still in my pajamas, working around the house. When I opened the door “SURPRISE!” It was my daughter, who came from Phoenix, AZ to spend my birthday and mother’s day with me.

We had a wonderful time together. We went out for breakfast to Home Grown in Wichita, KS. It is a local eatery that has fresh and delicious food.

My daughter and I share the same passion for reading books, so we went to Barnes and Nobel to have some coffee and check out new releases. I gifted her some books (for daughter’s day- hahaha).

I hope you are able to take some personal time to visit with friends, family, read something inspirational and get a favorite treat this week. It felt good to be surprised and spoil myself a little!
