Whether you're just beginning your journey or you're a seasoned enamelist, this intimate 3-day workshop is an invitation to slow down, notice the beauty in the smallest things, and reconnect with the joy of making by hand.

Here at The Detalles, we believe that the process is just as meaningful as the final piece. Enameling — with its quiet layering of glass on metal, its dance between fire and color — teaches us to be present, patient, and intentional.

This intimate 3-day enameling workshop is about slowing down, paying attention, and finding joy in the small details—just like the art of enameling itself. From textured copper to colorful glass layers, you will leave with a deep appreciation for the little things that make handmade work so meaningful.

A Note About My Wonderful Friend and Artist, Jennifer Walterscheid

Jennifer has been working with enamel for over 20 years and has spent the last 7 years sharing her skills through teaching. Her passion, patience, and deep knowledge of the craft shine through in every class she leads. You can check her beautiful work at https://www.jenniferwalterscheid.com

  1. 1 welcoming breakfast at The creative Nest, Rosalia’s home
  2. The Detalles Studio session: Three days art instruction with Rosalia & Jennifer

  4.  All supplies provided
  5. 3 al fresco  lunches weather permitting
  6. Snacks
  7. Welcome gifts and a chance to connect and build community with like-minded creatives and makers.

This workshop is non-refundable.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP FEE -  travel, accommodations, insurance (Medical and travel) and meals outside of retreat hours.

The Workshops are held at the Detalles Nest, Rosalia’s haven in Wichita, Kansas — the storied land where Dorothy once dreamed of home.

Monday, October 20th
Welcome breakfast/Workshop/Lunch, 9:00am-5:00pm

Tuesday, October 21st
Workshop/Lunch, 10:00am-4:00pm

Wednesday, October 22nd
Workshop/Lunch 10:00am-4:00pm

Class Full Amount: $995
Registration Deposit: $200
This deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the class.

The remaining balance after the $200 deposit is $795.

You can choose to:

  • Pay in two installments of $397.50, or
  • Pay the full amount upfront, if you prefer.

Please note: The full balance must be paid by October 10th, before the workshop begins.

The set deadline to register is September the 15th, but spaces are very limited at the Creative Nest, so early registration is strongly recommended.
